Harrison Weir (1824 to 1906) was a British illustrator, breeder and judge who organized the first cat show in England, at the Crystal Palace in London in July 1871, and founded the National Cat Club in 1887, serving as its first president. He is widely credited as the founder of the organized cat fancy. Before turning to cats, he judged pigeon and poultry shows for three decades.
