Shaping iron and steel hot from the forge with hammer and anvil. For most of history the blacksmith made and mended the tools of every other trade, which made the smithy the technical heart of the village; today the craft lives on among farriers, bladesmiths, artist blacksmiths and a growing hobby forge community.
