Papermaking Equipment

Equipment used to make paper from pulp, such as the Hollander beater that macerates plant fibre into pulp and the deckle that holds the pulp on the mould to set the size of the sheet. A tool belongs here when its cited source describes it as used in making paper. It excludes the cutting and folding tools used on finished paper. Hand papermaking and the Dutch beater of 1680 shaped how paper was made for centuries before continuous machines arrived, and the same two pieces of equipment still appear in small hand mills today.
