Design & Crafts Council Ireland is the national agency for the commercial development of Irish designers and craftspeople, funded through Enterprise Ireland. It supports a community of more than five thousand makers, designers, students and educators and more than sixty member guilds, associations, networks and societies across the country. Its work includes running the DCCI Academy's training courses in ceramics, jewellery and goldsmithing, organizing national showcase events such as Irish Design Week and August Craft Month, and maintaining directories and business supports for craftspeople and designers.
