Rummy is a family of card games built around matching cards of the same rank or the same suit in sequence. The basic goal in any form of rummy is to build melds, either sets of three or four cards of the same rank or runs of three or more sequential cards of the same suit, and either be the first player to use up one's hand or to score more points than the other players.
