This is what separates it from ordinary toss juggling, which is built around throwing objects skyward and catching them again; contact juggling instead involves rolling one or more objects, most often a single acrylic or crystal ball, across and around the hands, arms and body, though its techniques can also be combined with toss-juggling moves within the same performance.
