An edge trimmer, or lawn edger, is a garden tool, either manual or motorized, used to form a distinct boundary between a lawn, typically grass or other soft ground cover, and another ground surface such as a paved, concreted or asphalted area, a granular material like sand or gravel, or simply uncovered soil.
