Woodworking Drilling and Boring Tools

This includes the brace and its bits, the hand drill, bow drill, pump drill and fire drill that spin a shaft using a crank, bow or cord, the gimlet and bradawl used to start a small pilot hole, the countersink used to shape the top of a drilled hole, the wood auger, the drill stand that guides a handheld drill like a small press, and the hand driven boring machine once used to bore holes for a mortise and tenon joint or a timber frame peg.
