A wax melter is a device used in the packaging and candle-making industries to melt wax. The type of tank used to melt candle wax is quite different from tanks used for adhesives, solder or tar: tanks used for adhesives may need to be heated as high as 260 degrees Celsius, while an organic soy wax will be ruined above 60 degrees Celsius and should never be heated above 93 degrees Celsius, so a delicate wax used for candle making must be melted evenly at a much lower, carefully controlled temperature.
