Balloon Twisting

Also called balloon modelling, the shaping of long, thin modelling balloons into shapes, most often balloon animals, practiced by hobbyists and performers known as twisters, balloon benders or balloon artists at restaurants, birthday parties, fairs and similar events. Practitioners work in single balloon modelling, using one balloon per creation, or multiple balloon modelling, combining several, and sometimes add weaving or stuffing techniques, inflating balloons by lung, hand pump, electric pump or compressed gas rather than with helium, since twisting balloons are too porous and the finished shapes are generally too heavy to float.
