Electronic Kit Building

An electronic kit is a package of electronic components, sold together with a circuit diagram and assembly instructions and often a printed circuit board or prototyping board, meant for a builder to assemble into a working device. Kits were once valued mainly for the money they saved over a finished product, but that advantage has largely disappeared, and today people build them chiefly for enjoyment, for education, and as a hobby in its own right, whether to make a custom device or simply for the pleasure of building. Educational kits in particular are built around solderless construction methods, such as breadboards, component blocks, or spring based connectors, that let a beginner explore circuits and electronics principles freely without needing to learn to solder.
