A GPS and QR-code scavenger hunt hobby, similar to geocaching but built around weatherproof stickers bearing a scannable QR code rather than a physical container and logbook. Players deploy codes, called Munzees, at real-world points of interest, and other players navigate to those locations with a smartphone app and scan the code to capture it and earn points; the game launched in Texas in 2011 and has since spread into a large international hobbyist community.
