Metalworking Fastening Tools

Tools used to tighten, loosen, install or remove a threaded fastener or a driven fastener such as a rivet. This includes wrenches and spanners of every kind, from the adjustable spanner and pipe wrench to the socket wrench, torque wrench and torque screwdriver that apply a controlled amount of force, the hex key and nut driver, taps and dies and the tap wrench used to cut or turn a screw thread, the screw extractor and thread restorer used to remove or repair a damaged fastener, the podger spanner used in erecting scaffolding and steel framing, and the rivet gun used to drive a rivet closed.
