Camouflage Tool (Leathercraft)

The camouflage tool is a punch-type stamping implement used in leather carving alongside the swivel knife and rawhide mallet. It creates a shell-like or crescent impression used to add emphasis to areas of a carving, often worked into the stem or down the center of a leaf, and it can also be stamped repeatedly around the edge of a project to form a decorative border or worked into leaves, stems and scrolls to add a sense of roundness.
