Home›Institutions and Societies›HeadquartersBrowse ByHeadquartersHeadquarters groups craft and hobby institutions by the city or country where each one is based. Wikipedia notes that only guild members were normally "allowed to sell their goods or practice their skill within a city," tying an institution's authority tightly to one place. This grouping lets a visitor see where the organizations behind a craft or hobby are actually located.HeadquartersSourcesComments (0)Reader Challenges (0)HeadquartersFilter Results10 entriesArea (sq km)All263 (1)1658.73 (1)2790.31 (1)30,689 (1)41,291 (1)70,273 (1)242,500 (1)263,310 (1)377,975 (1)9,866,632 (1)Founding YearAll650 (1)1826 (1)1836 (1)Independence or Founding YearAll1776 (1)1801 (1)1830 (1)1848 (1)1922 (1)1947 (1)PopulationAll530,680 (1)1,017,449 (1)2,304,580 (1)5,355,220 (1)5,458,600 (1)9,154,242 (1)11,867,634 (1)69,414,000 (1)122,587,000 (1)340,587,000 (1)Show ResultsBrowseCompareSelect all 10BelgiumHeadquarters1 entryEdinburghHeadquarters1 entryHoustonHeadquarters1 entryIrelandHeadquarters1 entryJapanHeadquarters1 entryNew ZealandHeadquarters1 entryOttawaHeadquarters1 entrySwitzerlandHeadquarters2 entriesUnited KingdomHeadquarters7 entriesUnited StatesHeadquarters20 entriesSourcesWorld Crafts Council (Wikipedia)Wikimedia FoundationView the SourceFIDE (Wikipedia)Wikimedia FoundationContains: FIDEView the SourceAmerican Homebrewers Association (Wikipedia)Wikimedia FoundationContains: American Homebrewers AssociationView the SourceNational Model Railroad Association (Wikipedia)Wikimedia FoundationContains: National Model Railroad AssociationView the SourceAmerican Birding Association (Wikipedia)Wikimedia FoundationContains: American Birding AssociationView the SourceComments (0)No comments yet.
