New Zealand Cat Fancy

The New Zealand Cat Fancy, or NZCF, is a cat registry serving New Zealand, made up of 21 affiliated clubs and recognizing 55 purebred cat breeds. It is one of nine member organizations of the World Cat Congress, placing it among the worlds major cat registries, and it holds cat shows including an annual national competition, alongside publishing a quarterly members magazine called Flash Cats. In December 2008 it became the first cat registry to permit polydactyl Maine Coon cats, cats born with extra toes, to compete in its shows.
