Amateur Press Association

An amateur press association, or APA, is a group of hobbyists engaged in amateur journalism who each produce individual pages or zines that are sent to a central mailer for collation and distribution to every member of the group. Amateur press associations began in the late nineteenth century and became one of the earliest organized forms of small scale, member produced publishing as a shared hobby.
