Knife Collecting

Knife Collecting is a hobby that includes seeking, locating, acquiring, organizing, cataloging, displaying, storing and maintaining knives. Some collectors are generalists who accumulate many different kinds of knives, while others specialize in a narrower category such as military bayonets, the output of a particular factory, Bowie knives, pocketknives or custom handmade pieces. Collectible knives range from antiques at least a hundred years old to more recent pieces, and some vintage examples, such as knives from the Second World War with zinc alloy handles that tend to degrade over time, become scarcer and more valuable to collectors as fewer intact specimens survive.
