Can collecting is the hobby of collecting cans, both aluminum and tin plate, with many types available from around the world across a wide range of brands, variations, and themes. Among the most popular cans sought by collectors are soda, beer, and car oil cans, the last often branded with well known petrol companies, while other collectible types include milk, coffee, syrup, salted peanut, and crayon cans as well as advertisement lithograph tins. Some collectors specialize in a single type of can, such as beer, soda, food, or oil cans exclusively, while others collect across all types.
